Acoustic chilled folky rock grooves with hints of gospel and brit-pop.
Bio / Background
Somewhere between American folk, British rock, acoustic grooves, and mid 90's radio, stands Clive, an acoustic quartet from Wilmington, Delaware. Childhood friends, Brad Almond, Steve Barlow, Ryan Funderburg and Rich Scott have shared a love for creating and performing music ever since their early high school years. With catchy melodies and quirky storytelling lyrics, their songs will take you from lovelorn British pubs, to the interstate highways of the mid west, and into the pews of a sanctuary.
"Really, the reason I am a Clive fan is because from the moment I heard [the] sound it was calming. Clive is a breath of fresh air. It's good, quality music with genuine feeling and emotion. During times in which life often feels as though it's getting the best of you, the music Clive brings us actually makes it seem alright. Not to mention, you'll find your toes tapping and your head bobbing to the sound.

"Clive's new release The Small Wonder EP sounds like the love child of folksy acts Toad the Wet Sprocket, Dispatch, and the Counting Crows, with a small touch of Americana roots echoing that of My Morning Jacket. The record floats through the speakers with an easy going, mellow, friendly attitude ... It's the perfect CD for a sunny Sunday afternoon drive on a summer day! (Preferably somewhere in Delaware...)"
-Seth Kallen (Seth Kallen & The Shambles)
"Happiness and joy are ever present throughout The Small Wonder EP. With melody-driven tunes like Merrilee and Along Came Spring, the band infects the listener with a wicked case of the head bobs. You just can't help but groove to this. The lyrics are smart: easy to remember, but clever nonetheless. They weave seamlessly in and out of catchy guitar lines ... that will have you humming for hours. If these guys don't get your booty shaking and your toes tappin you might want to get your head checked."
