Bio / Background

Peace from the Porch executive producer, Christy Claxton, used to be a singer/songwriter. She recorded a few CDs. In 2000, she recorded "Out of Nowere," which is a sophisticated, smart album that showcases Claxton's powerful writing and voice. With the album's release Claxton developed a cult following that still follows her today. She's just harder to catch behind a guitar and microphone these days. In fact, a hard copy of "Out of Nowhere" is impossible to catch because it's out of print and only available via digital distribution. Those who own an actual CD treasure it; not only because of it's beautiful production by veteran studio pro Mark Hallman, but because it is an artistic representation of a performer who left center stage to slip behind the scenes and help promote independent music via her concert series, Bear Creek Concerts, and then through the Peace from the Porch project.
