Bio / Background
Hey Folks
I am a 41 year old musician who started playing music when I was twelve. I started
on clarinet and I played that for about five years. That's actually where I learned
most of the music theory I know and how to read and write notation. I started
practicing guitar in a serious fashion when I was about 18 and haven't looked
back since.
My song style is rooted in blues, but there are rock, folk, punk, reggae
overtones in a lot of my work.
My improvisational style is also jazz and classical idiosyncratic.
I did all the performances, recording, editing, etc
on this album at BoogieMan Records in Bellingham Washington. BMR is my own
label and was started for many reasons, the foremost being the creative expression it allows me. I wrote and arranged all but one of the songs on MotherLoad
The lyrics are controversial and have been targeted to be censored by some very ignorant people.
