Bio / Background
Chuck Field has taken an eclectic approach to songwriting as he absorbs influences from various styles and relates parts of his life to each of these. Borrowing from rock, pop, blues, jazz, folk, new age, and maybe even a little country he complements his musical ideas with an assortment of instrumentation to help create a montage of moods while maintaining a firm foundation with his lineup of exemplary musicians. At times he's making a statement about the struggling human condition and at others he tells his plaintive story of trying to quit a woman. In this album Chuck juxtaposes heartfelt introspection and comic relief, never allowing the listener to rest while bringing fresh and unexpected twists. He presents his real life situations of heartache and humankind's potential ruin with an underlying compulsion for hope. With some of Baltimore's finest musicians, Chuck Field has produced an album worth listeneing to.
