Midwestern heart-on-sleeve indie rock from Pretty Mighty Mighty frontman Jon Chinn
Bio / Background
I Can't Believe You Live Like That is the debut solo release from Pretty Mighty Mighty frontman and multi-instrumentalist Jon Chinn.
Based in Columbus, Ohio, Jon has spent the last thirteen years with Midwest indie pop band Pretty Mighty Mighty, and for the past several years co-owned and operated Workbook Studio (RJD2, New Bomb Turks, The Sun), placing Jon in the unique position to document his talents as a solo songwriter. In the Spring of 2003, Jon held a weekly residency at Columbus hot spot Andyman's Treehouse, debuting new material and work-in-progress compositions. WWCD101 released a compilation containing tracks recorded live in-studio, including Jon alongside notables such as Matthew Sweet, Jimmy Eat World, Flaming Lips, Pete Yorn and Tenacious D.
The bulk of I Can't Believe You Live Like That was laid to tape late at night, early in the morning, or whenever a free moment of time at Workbook would allow, with the majority completed during the Summer and Fall of 2003.
