Acoustic rock duo (drums, guitar and vocals)classic rock feel with a modern edge.
Bio / Background
Formed as a duo in June 2000, this San Diego CA. band has played local clubs including Casbah,Whistlestop and Solari's office.
City Boys EP. was recorded and mixed in seven sessions averaging two to three hours long, four of the basic tracks were recorded in one take. We wanted the record to sound like us live.
The only overdubs are vocal harmonies, vocal doubletracking
panned left and right (most verses have one track at a time), tamborine, marachas, handclaps and the guitar is doubled on the choruses.
There are no separate guitar parts added or bass.
We recorded on 16 track ADAT, then bounced it to a Mac, mixed it back through the board to DAT then ran it back through a mastering program on the Mac.
Our goal as a band is to write and record heartfelt music that is interesting to listen to.
↓ more ↓We are a totally independent band, rather than focusing on getting a record contract we want to put as much material as we can on our own, we currently have enough songs to put out a new full length CD which we want to start recording
this summer. Hope you like what we have done so far.
