Beatle-ina with awesome harmonies and great guitar style.
Bio / Background
After cutting her teeth in pop and rock bands (Charlie Sexton, Trinity Street, Puss 'N' Boots), Pittsburgh native Ché Zuro began doing solo shows with only her acoustic guitar.
'Welcome Home' finds her back in the studio with a full band sound resulting in well written songs and infectious melodies that will have you singing the songs long after the CD has ended.
Welcome Home, co-produced by old friend Bernie Larsen (Cry On Cue, Melissa Etheridge, El Rayo-X), layers Ché's acoustic guitars and vocals with drums, bass, keyboards, and more!
Bernie and Ché shared most of the instrumental duties while some pals (Jorgé Calderon, Brie Howard-Darling of Boxing Gandhis, co-writer Tisa Adamson) came in to sing some background vocals and play some percussion.
This album will not only please fans of The Beatles and The Mamas & The Papas, but also fans of today's female sound of Jewel, Paula Cole, Sheryl Crow and Mary-Chapin Carpenter.

"Singer-guitarist Ché Zuro prefers to remain mysterious about what she calls her "colorful past," including a stint in the late '80s backing up Charlie Sexton and involvement in the Orchids, one of notorious Svengali-type Kim Fowley's all-girl rock bands. And why not? Zuro's since reinvented herself as an indefatigable folk singer who prefers to maintain control over her own music; she even played all the instruments on her first CD, 10,000 Jalama Road. Armed with just an acoustic guitar, she can be quite bewitching as a solo artist (tonight she'll be accompanied by frequent partner Tisa Adamson), but she's heard to grandest effect on her most recent CD, Welcome Home, where sunny ballads "Mr. Chow's Garden" and "Heaven's Gate" are imbued with subtle psychedelic production flourishes and full-band arrangements. Most of her tunes, like "Everybody's Changing," with its beguiling pop hook, are similarly laid-back and pleasantly melodic, but the feverish, sensual bondage incantation "Tied Your Baby Down" is a flat-out rock shuffle that's in a magic space somewhere between Fleetwood Mac and Led Zeppelin."
