20th Century Guitar Magazine (April 2005) calls Charlie Read "A master of the rock, jazz, and blues instrumental guitar sound" and says his new instrumental CD "read between the lines" contains " . . . impressive musicianship and a hook you could hang your hat on!"
Instrumental guitar has been around from the days of the Ventures to the modern sounds of Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. Charlie has added an impressive addition to this genre and presents 11 multi-flavored musical selections that rock, wail, or gently soothe.
Charlie is a veteran of the explosive Ohio rock scene of the early 70s, and currently teaches 60 students a week. He plays all styles of guitar, is a member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers and Publishers), recorded a CD of all-original contemporary Christian music in 1993, and has written over 200 songs . . .
