Creative mix of melodic guitar work, powerful vocals and a multi-faceted rhythm section.
Bio / Background
chance of rain is a collection of diversely influenced yet well-matched musicians from New Jersey. Each member of the band has played with at least one other member prior to forming chance of rain. This close-knit history has enabled the band to work well together both musically and interpersonally. Their diverse influences have spawned a creative mix of melodic guitar work, powerful vocals and a multi-faceted rhythm section.
chance of rain formed in late 2001, when singer/songwriter/guitarist Allie Moss and drummer Andy Bova, were looking to start a new project. Andy's brother, Josh Bova, was enlisted on bass. A month or so later, guitarist John Molnar joined, adding an additional songwriter to the band. In early 2003, guitarist and friend Andrew Light completed the band, adding ambiance and texture using guitars, samples and keyboards.
chance of rain released a 5-song EP, We Could Be A Monster, in July 2003.
↓ more ↓The band has been building a local following by playing venues in the tri-state area.
