The music is a mixture of latin, reggae and pop and is a great cross section of music. If you like Jimmy Buffett, Bob Marley, or Antonio Carlos Jobim and Santana, you won't miss with buying this CD

About the project
Attempting to put into words and summarize my path in music was the most daunting task of this project. How would I summarize my life in music? What could I say with limited space to work with on the inside of a CD Jacket. There is not an easy answer to that question, yet here is my humble attempt.
For starters it is important to note that music is but an extention of me. It encompasses a great deal of my life as it is my profession but it does not define me. It has always been my attempt to be a good person first and a musician second. I can't fully enjoy the fruits of being a musician and a writer until I embrace the concept of what it means to be a good person. I like to use the analogy that if I were to lose my hands tommorrow, what would I be? The answer would hopefully be a good person.

Being a musician is very special to me.I see music as God's voice and myself an instrument thqt echoes this voice. It is through this voice I desire to inspire people and draw them closeer to the truth that speaks to them from within.. whatever that might be. I try to live the words of Matthew 5:16 " Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Heavenly father." Music is a catalyst of Human emotional responses. It can make us laugh, it can make us cry, it can bring us up or take us down. It can incite rage within us, or bestow peace and tranquility upon us. So with this voice my soul speaks and I present to you "Island Fever"
About the songs....
Island fever- instrumental
is the concept of being overrun with the need or desire to excape and find joy in a beautiful place. The joy of peace, the joy of no pressures from daily life. The song showcases long inviting notes that are introduced halfway through the song that are intended to embrace you and allow you to fall furhter into the music.
We're all having a good time-
embraces the theme that life can be more fun if we just let it. To participate and jump in feet first and share the experience with those we love. My favorite song vocally
Tropical paradise-
A nice tropical love song, reminiscent of the Jimmy Buffett style I get so many request for.
One World-
is quite a bit different than any other piece on the album, The only serious song. It calls for peace in the middle east. The song speaks Isaac and Ismail, two brothers that go to there father seeking advice on how to get their children to stop fighting. Abraham was the father of the Jewish and Arab nations, whose liniage went through each son repectively. The song is dedicated to the influence Bob Marley has had on my music.
Palma De Mallorca- instrumental
is a musical interpretation of the love I have for one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. My favorite song on the CD and one that is also getting airplay on WDRR 98.5 Smooth Jazz. The flute solo is killer.
She's got her groove on-
A song inspired by my friend Karen who always displays an uncontrollable urge to dance when I perform. The sax solo is the best solo on the whole album.
Hangin Out-
was a song written for my niece who at 17 had dropped out of school. She was not working and sleeping until 1 o'clock every day. One day I went to pick her up to help me with some things and she refused to get up. A day or two later this song came to me.
A night in Cordoba- instrumental
One of the most energetic pieces I've written. I start all my performances with it. Once again the flute is smoking.
Island of the Sun-
The surprise song of the album. More people have told me that this was their favorite song, more than any other song on the album. I really like the chorus. It has a great hook, but was never a big fan of the verses. I felt it fit the motif of Island Fever and decided to include it.
Malaguena- Ernesto Lencona ( instrumental)
This is the Bungalow Band's showcase song. We will normally end a show with it. It always leaves the audience reeling.
