Melodic prog metal mixed with rock & soundtrack influences.
Bio / Background
French guitarist Julien Carayon's world is instrumental music, a world with no borders, as he plays with no specific music style in mind. The end result is Lethal Alchemy, which straddles the heavy metal, progressive rock and shred musical camps, as evidenced by his influences of Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment, Planet X, Joe Satriani.
Carayon explores every tune for all it's worth : the shortest tune is almost seven minutes in length ("Heat"), while "The Good And Evil Sides Of Men" clocks in at over ten minutes.
Carayon has spent countless hours listening to his favorite albums such as Liquid Tension Experiment I&II, Vertu, Dream Theater's "Awake", Steve Vai's "Passion and Warfare"...
On Lethal Alchemy, he's tried to cultivate his own style avoiding cliches on the guitar and writing soundtrack-like instrumentation.
