Bio / Background
Boasting an exquisite team of Bay Area musicians, Captain Tonic builds a musical landscape of longing, a landscape which is both gentle and tragic. You will be lead on a melancholic journey through a sad and gorgeous country, a lyrical fun-house populated with an arsenal of delicious headaches, high-swinging monkeys, little angry men called Moses, and dangerous TV dinners.
This is a world in which heartbreak is as much a creature as any chicken or puppy dog. Loneliness works its insidious magic beneath a bemused lyrical stare. "You eat your dinner on the toilet to remind you of the hopelessness of life, and you swear that you'll come back to this planet as an animal."
