"Captiol Cities' debut album is 9 tall tales of Sunset Strip sleaze tempered by moments of casual Midwestern beer-and-a-shot realism." -- Rich Hanson, Manager, The Paybacks
Bio / Background
"Take a bit of Detroit's garage sound, add a mix of 60's and 70's rock, plus a front man who couldn't have more energy if he drank a hundred cups of coffee, and you have what is known as the Capitol Cities...the Capitol Cities have garnered a solid following more than willing to position themselves in front of the crowd, singing lyrics at the top of their lungs." -- Jacquie Trost, motorcityrocks.com
"They are more than just a guitar based rock band, and more than a mix of pop and garage - they are a band that is not afraid to approach rock with hooks that might at times spur memories of the 80's, 90's and beyond. Good stuff" -- Alicia Gbur, The Nice Device & Small's Bar
"Their approach to Rock with Hooks is like a time travel trip to 80's Minneapolis (Husker Du anyone?) but these fellas somehow come back to the future without sounding like a rip off, just a great guitar based rock band that want you to fall in love with them.

-- Rich Hansen, Lager House
"The Capitol Cities are one local rock group that literally wants to rock and roll all night and party every day...Capitol Cities has spent most of [2004] making a name in the Detroit rock scene. In the spring, the band participated in the three-day D-Pollen festival at the Hastings Street Ballroom and proved its worth at clubs such as Smalls in Hamtramck and the Lager House in Detroit.
Most recently, the band put the finishing touches on its debut release "All Thrills." Recorded during the summer with notorious Detroit-based producer Jim Diamond, the album is a more coherent version of the band's live show, and takes cues from '60s and '70s party rock such as the Stooges and the New York Dolls." -- Melody Baetens, The Detroit News
