The Bride is a compilation of folk, country, rock-a-billy, and gospel put together with "excellant vocals" and "extraordinary guitar playing". This album really shows what Susan can do.
Bio / Background
Susan Campton is a grassroots, Americana singer/songwriter. She has been deeply influenced by her Appalachian roots and the songs she heard at family gatherings, reunions and in the country church revivals she attended with her grandmother and great-grandmother. Her song "The Bride" was based on stories of love gone wrong and Appalachian ghost stories she heard while growing up. This album has been described as "a great way to spend time", "an album to keep in the player",and a "have to" listen. Susan works with her husband Bill to create a unique sound that is rich, haunting and earthy. From the haunting sound of "Dark Night of My Soul" to the upbeat rythms of "Constant Comfort" this is one album you'll be sure to listen to again and again.
Susan's music is now being played in 12 countries world wide and 8 states here in the US. DJ's have described this as "the best album yet", "really shows what Susan can do" and "excellant vocals and extraordinary guitar playing".
