Take the vitality of Revolver-era Beatles, a splash of Indigo Girls vocal styles and guitars, and some of the general grooviness of John Mayer or Ray LaMontagne and you might get some idea of what this CD sounds like.
Bio / Background
Brett’s earliest memories are filled with the music his parents made – dressing up in renaissance garb to sing motets, passing the guitar around at summer parties, and being a part of the family bluegrass band. Brett’s own musical path took him briefly into the academic realm of electronic music composition, but his love of songwriting and songcraft have kept him writing songs for over 20 years, ever since he first picked up a guitar. Having played the music of The Beatles, Neil Young, CSN, The Indigo Girls and The Grateful Dead in numerous bands over the years, Brett’s music reflects these influences yet always remains distinctively his own. His voice is as unique and easy to listen to as Lennon, Mayer or LaMontagne and as an added treat, many of his tracks also feature rich and intricate backing vocals.
