The Brass Menažeri ("Menagerie") is the Bay Area's premier Balkan brass band, specializing in the high-energy music of Serbian Rom (Gypsy) brass bands, as well as the Greek/Macedonian border region. They also exhibit influences from many neighboring & not-so-neighboring musics of the world.

Since the Indigo's innovative "vintage" tribal twist, I think this style of music has taken the dance world by storm. Not only is it spectacular for tribal and gypsy style dancing, it's fantastic for background music. I often do work at renaissance events, and Brazen is a must have in my musical repertoire.

This album has fun loving music on it and for all you tribal fusion lovers...Mardi Love uses Romski Cocek in her Sweet and Down Below workshops....it is a real good deal to have this album!!!
