Bio / Background
Karma Bed, the debut solo record by Brad Rice, comes after years of contributing his guitar work to such artists as The Accelerators, Finger, The Backsliders, Whiskeytown, Ryan Adams, Tift Merritt, and Jay Farrar's newly revamped Son Volt. Karma Bed may take some listeners of the previously mentioned artists by surprise with its bluesy and heavy psychedelic overtones, guitars galore, and reverb-drenched vocals, but the sound and songs (two co-written with Steve Wynn, formerly of The Dream Syndicate) are a true reflection of Rice's reckless passion for the spirited and soulful noise that has always resided in his mind and soul.
