Bio / Background
Bo Rains' debut CD release, Scarecrows, is an intriguing collection of pop-alternative songs that is sure to cause the music world to take notice. All the qualities of a rising music talent are here: a captivating voice; top-notch musicianship; and catchy tunes that have depth musically and lyrically.
Hailing from South Jersey, Bo teams up with New York producer/engineer Gary Filadelfo (Dream Theatre, Mark Anthony, Third World), and the two serve up a variety of sonic landscapes that set the emotional tones from which Bo spins her tales.
From the edgy layered futuristic sound of "Brave New World" to the down-home electric bluesiness of "Cold Hotel Room," Bo introduces us to an eclectic cast of characters living in the modern world. On a more personal note, songs like the hauntingly beautiful "Try To Hold On" and "Scarecrows" are contrastingly raw acoustic tracks that provide us with a more intimate glimpse into Bo's own life.

A voice made for singing. Every now and then a voice appears that gels well with piano, and this is one of those instances. A very encouraging album with a soulful voice full of emotion.4/5.
