“You Do Something To Me” was written by Cole Porter for the show “Fifty Million Frenchmen” in 1929. We think it is an appropriate title for this CD of music by The Boilermaker Jazz Band.
Especially for you, we’ve selected a mix of our favorite tunes inspired by some of the performers and composers we admisre most: Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Ivie Anderson, Fats Waller, Billie Holiday, Isham Jones, Gus Kahn.
You’ll find musical tales of love (Me And You), and love lost (When Your Lover Has Gone), and love that never quite got started (Says My Heart) and songs that take you where only love can (East of the Sun- and West Of the Moon).
