Released towards the end of 1999, and one-and-a-half years in the making, a lot of work has gone into making The Beach the definitive Blue Flux album of the second Millennium. All compositions ably demonstrates Blue Flux's commitment towards comprehensively arranged and meticulously produced vocal and instrumental compositions.
Largely under the umbrella of the Progressive Rock genre, The Beach features 6 minute plus compositions that stand up well under repeated scrutiny. As on previous albums, Blue Flux's guitar playing still remains the focal point for most of the tracks on The Beach. However, the wide range of other instruments woven into the songs on the album ensure that The Beach is not just another guitar rock CD.
