Bio / Background
The Bird Ensemble is a Nashville based group dedicated to an American heritage. Appreciating the jazz-fusion and minimalist movements of the late 1960s / early '70s, it also finds its place within the current post-rock movement. The Ensemble intends to bridge a gap between romantic and methodological music and is committed to live recordings. Migration is their first recording. It was recorded live at RCA-B Victor on Music Row in Nashville on September 1-2, 2006. The goal was to make an album that did not have to rely on overdubs for a full sound. In 2007, the band plans to continue writing and recording while beginning to perform throughout the South.
