Bio / Background
Mr Raga's Neighborhood mixes Jazz, Funk and Fusion with an indian vibe. performers include bamboo flute virtuoso steve gorn, keyboardist walter fischbacher, trumpeter satish, guitarists lee boice and raoul bjorkenheim, and bill buchen on tabla, programming, percussion, keys and bass. The music travels from Asia to India to the Lower East Side of New York city which is the world headquarters of Mr. Ragas's Neighborhood. So pull up a chair on the sidewalk and have a listen.
Along with his wife Mary Buchen, Bill is co-director of Sonic Architecture and designs interactive sculptural installations for science museums, public plazas, children's museums and art galleries throughout the world.A pioneer in the world of sound art, his websites are www.sonicarchitecture.com and www.geosonic.com
