Beautiful Nubia and the Roots Renaissance Band follow up their highly successful 'Awilele' album with this collection of fun-filled, reflective and educative 16 tracks of pulsating neo-traditional music. Fèrè once again showcases BN’s unique modern African music with meaning.
Blending rhythms and melodies from the folk traditions of his Yoruba culture with personal influences, singer/songwriter and bandleader, Beautiful Nubia has created an original form of music that defies classification. Performed in both English and Yoruba, his songs are loaded with universal social and political messages, complemented by soulful vocals and dexterous performances by his fourteen-member band.
