Ass Pocket of Whiskey is a dirty, filthy, stripped down musical assault. Named after the great R.L. Bunside/Jon Spencer Blues Explosion "A Ass Pocket of Whiskey" album, there's no stopping them. Their influences include Junior Kimbrough, Soundgarden, Jimi Hendrix, and the North Mississippi Allstars. This album is a long time coming for this band. The follow-up is due out later this year and is bound to knock the Whiskey out of your pocket and right into your mouth. Ass Pocket is coming.

JG, or "Watermelon Man" as his friends from the barber shop call him, is now in the studio using previously recorded material to put together Ass Pocket's sophomore effort. "I had a lot of demons to confront after the accident," he commented, referencing the late 2003 doily factory fire that claimed the lives of his 3 bandmates. "It was bad.
