Artichoke's debut EP consists of the moody "Ocean Sideways," a compelling tale of unexpectedly good luck in the form of "Fort Knox," the poppily oblique "One-Man Seesaw," and the set-closing sock-dropping fairy tale "Jackie and the Beanstalk."
Bio / Background
"I always put on "Sing in Traffic" when I'm cleaning my house," says Los Angeles guitarist Eric Potter.
"Sing in Traffic" was recorded in January of 2001 at Michael Bedik's studio in the valley. Bedik created a warm, natural sound by recording Artichoke's best four songs live and with no click track. At this time, the band was playing many Fridays at Canter's Kibitz Room in West Hollywood. We were paid with free reubens and tea. Timothy Sellers wrote the songs, sang, and played guitar. Mark Scanlon was on drums, Ezra Siegel played bass, Octavius Poirier played guitar.
Eric Potter adds, "And my house is very tidy!"
