Bio / Background
A Place to Run is based out of Baltimore, Maryland. I go to Johns Hopkins University and do all of the instrumentation and writing myself. Why do I play? Well, God has blessed us with the gift of music, and I want to use this gift for Him. I write songs as a way of expressing what I'm going through inside and what God's doing in my life...so each lyric comes straight from my heart. Before you leave don't miss out on the best news ever (it's what my music is all about): Everyone has messed up before--some people call this sin. God in Heaven is holy and perfect, so all of us who are imperfect (which is everyone) couldn't live with Him. Nothing we could do on our own could make us perfect--we might be better, but not perfect. But because God loved us so much, He provided a way for us to live with Him. He sent his Only Son, Jesus Christ, to live a perfect life here on Earth and to die for us.
↓ more ↓Christ suffered enormously, being whipped and nailed to a cross--everything we deserved--in order to pay the sacrifice for our sin. The Bible says that in order for forgiveness of sins to take place, a sacrifice of infinite worth had to be made. That was Christ. So now, if you believe in what He did, God sees Christ in you, instead of your sin in you. All of your imperfection is gone and when you die, you'll be in Heaven with God.
