PORNO MOVIE single by Ampsex

The humor is obvious in songs like "Crazy Bitch," "Porno Movie" and "DJ In Yo Band" which is a spoof rap song. The rocking continues on a more serious note with "Pops Fight," "How It Feels," "Circus" and "Blood". "Someone Like You" offers a softer side and "My Best Friend Is A Punk" taps into a dark and perhaps coping sense of humor.

AMPSEX has tight songs that rock and the band is able to relate to their audience with a depth that not many young bands can match.

Stoner Rock Album Review:

These California natives mix loud guitars with quirky lyrics in a cornucopia of hard rock and punk overtones. Catchy melodies and interesting hooks abound with Ampsex. This three piece will stop at nothing at rocking the hell out of you. The line has been drawn and Ampsex has the upper hand.

There is a sense of sarcasm and wit within the entity that is Ampsex. The band has a very accessible sound; the songs are short and to the point. The guitar tone has the crunchiness of Guns `n` Roses, with a punk attitude and pop sensibility of Weezer. The lyrics are painted with sarcasm and irony in the same sense of System of a Down. The band is tight and the production leaves some room for breathing.

So whether the listener is in a punk mood or a hard rock mood, Ampsex will be able to satisfy that hunger. The riffs will grab a hold of you and not let go. All you’ll be able to do is cry to mama.

AMPSEX is officially releasing the song "PORNO MOVIE" as a single. The disc will feature two versions of the song.

The first is the studio version we've been playing as a rock band all over San Francisco for a year. The second is the piano version we use to pass out as a hidden track on our 'CRAZY BITCH' 5 song E.P. Here is a little info on why we have two versions and why they are so different.

___ SONG BACKGROUND___

I wrote this tune on the Piano over the course of a night during a very...low period...in my life. I take out the trash at a local recording studio once a week in exchange for access to the facilities. I come by when all the bands are done for the day and I usually play the piano for an hour. I had this 4 song e.p. of some hard rockin' guitar orientated stuff and thought it would be a cool contrast to put a recording of the piano version of this 'funny song' as a hidden track. After passing it out at a couple shows people started bugging us to play it live. Well...we are professionals and our aim is to entertain YOU. So we started playing it live. Instrumentaly we rearranged it so it would fit in our set. Next thing you know...AMPSEX is the band that plays THAT PORNO MOVIE SONG!!!!

People started trippin. The feedback was hard to ignore. We had to put this tune out as a single. People who heard it live first would go crazy about the piano version. People who heard the piano version first would go crazy about us playing it as a rock trio at the club.

Available on this disc are the two recorded versions of this song. Track one being our hard rock traditional rock band presentation and the second track being our piano studio version. Hope you like it. Here are the lyrics:
