Bio / Background

I created, recorded the video, composed the music, performed, developed, edited and produced "A Soarer: Sobriety, Awareness, Enchantment and Soaring" as a collection of four independent Video art/installation segments, yet interconnected. Each segment represents a spiritual stage based on the contemplative traditions. I emphasized common elements across the contemplative traditions, such as oneness, dualism, trinity, multiplicity, and repetition of motions to support the main concepts. Time, space, light and motion were vital for my creations. I slowed and accelerated time. I selected spaces that appeared mystical to me. The sunset, sunrise, the Mojave desert, the Pacific ocean, Southwest skies, and the San Gabriel mountains functioned as a mystical sources for my creations.

I pursued to create an art with spiritual meanings based on my own experiences. The digital technology is just a tool in my creative process.
