Bio / Background

Alma Y Vida is a New York based Band lead by drummer Ramón Echegaray. They play CANDOMBE, Uruguayan style of african music.

The album CANDOMBE EN NEW YORK features Hugo Fattoruso on acoustic piano, accordion and tamboriles (candombe drums). Hugo is considered one of the greatest icons of that style.

CANDOMBE EN NEW YORK also features guitarist Beledo from Uruguay, and Bakithi Kumalo from South Africa
