Bio / Background
"All My Friends Are Cowboys" is the ode to the Western roots of author, composer and attorney, Kelly Charles Crabb - his celebration of an American icon, featuring the performances of some of the great cowboy originals. It's a magical summer evening in the majestic American West. The campfire's flames dance to myriad sounds of the prairie night. And we share the fire with three cowboys, just winding up the day's work: Charlie (film star and rancher, Wilford Brimley), the chuck wagon philosopher; Mike (country artist, Joe Diffie), an injury-finished bronc rider; and Bill (country artist, Ty England), a young moonstruck cowboy, struggling with the love of Jenny (model, Kristen Zang), a rich man's daughter, and a tenuous link between the rancher's life of his dad, WR (cowboy troubadour, Don Edwards), and mainstream society. Through spellbinding melodies and lyrical pictures we relive pivotal life events.
↓ more ↓Our story is enhanced by the wisdom and art of cowboy lore through the ages, guided by a cowboy Host/Narrator (cowboy poet and humorist, Waddie Mitchell). We will meet, along the way, country legends, Johnny Cash and June Carter, and Roy Rogers, the King of the Cowboys himself, from whom we can learn about the wellsprings of passion for the legacy of this American treasure. A unique and incomparably entertaining experience... a vivid recollection of talking, singing, pondering, hurting, laughing, exaggeration, living and dying with America's most celebrated and misunderstood hero: The cowboy.
