Bio / Background

ALLISTAIR ELLIOTT – Urban Nights

Allistair Elliott’s new disc titled, Urban Nights, is a compilation of smooth jazz with an edge that takes you from funky urban grooves to sultry, seductive moments, to hot Latin jazz tunes.

Trumpeter, Allistair Elliott has combined original tunes by Canadian writers with four popular covers, three of which he does vocals on.

Elliott’s original compositions, like the title track, Urban Nights and After Hours features Elliott’s, Chris Botti-like artistry of the horn. A smooth jazz version of Maroon 5’s- Sunday Morning, Bill Withers- Ain’t No Sunshine and Bob Dylan’s - Make You Feel My Love, allows Elliott to contribute a few vocal tracks to the disc.

Urban Nights will put this Calgary artist on the map as a benchmark in the smooth jazz world and provide more top-notch Canadian content for radio play.
