When it comes to music that enchants, pianist and composer Afshin Toufighian fills the atmosphere with beautiful melodies that elevate the spirits of the listener. His music has received a number of praises from audiences all around the world, and his technical skills have won him a number of state-wide and national awards. His performances have been wonderfully acclaimed in Germany, England, China, Japan, and the U.S. nationwide. He has also contributed his music to a number of independent films.
For Afshin the process of creation usually begins on the piano, from which ideas will usually mold into various forms of instrumentation and potentially evolve into a variety of styles such as large symphonic arrangements, or smaller ensembles, sometimes with a percussive back-beat, or perhaps purely electronic and synthesized sounds. Oftentimes the idea will remain as a solo piano piece, a single instrumental voice representing the essential foundation of the composition.
