Bio / Background
Adam Moore is primarily a self-taught musician but has been helped along the way by some excellent teachers. He has been playing guitar and making music since the age of eleven. His first proper instrument was a white Marlin acoustic guitar with a maple neck given to him by his parents in 1991. He still plays slide on it to today.
Adam has been influenced by artists as deverse Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Frank Zappa, King Crimson, Steve Vai, Freak Kitchen, Joe Satriani, Jeff Beck and Pete Townsend, Richard Thompson and Joni Mitchell. At university, Adam developed an interest in orchestral and film music, jazz arranging, electroacoustic and ambient music and brings these influences to bear on his writing. As with any musician worthy of the name, Adam is a perpetual student and continues to study music and its related philosophies, theory, the guitar and composition.
