Blindspott are one of New Zealand's most successful rock/metal bands. Their debut album sold Triple Platinum in New Zealand and was released in Australia, South East Asia and Japan. 2011 will see a new era for blindspott with their announced reformation, headlining spot at New Zealand's 'Homegrown' festival and replacing of previous drummer Shelton Woolright with newcomer Tristian Reily. They are said to be recording their 3rd album sometime during 2011.

Blindspott are operating under the name Blacklist due to legal issues between the remaining band members and drummer Shelton Woolright(I Am Giant). the first new realise from Blacklist is the song "from the blindspott". they played there first show as blacklist at homegrown 2011 and look to be moving on from the drama.
