Tessa Drummond is a singer, songwriter and performer that defies convention and sets a standard for commercial music with an eclectic edge. Influences can be drawn from those of Tori Amos, Bj?rk and Kate Bush but Tessa's inimitable style and voice is both unique and edgy, and has an appeal to a wide audience because of its far reaching soundscapes, production grooves and interesting lyrics. Her debut album entitled "Days Like This" (2004) is a collection of introspective songs that mirror this sometimes unpredictable artist and crosses many musical boundaries from acoustic pop to rock.
"Days like this" is the result of a development of Tessa's songwriting she made at home in Auckland, New Zealand with her acoustic guitar during the years 1999-2000. The sound floats on smooth alternative pop-rock production with guitars, strings, electronic beats, experimental sounds and african percussion.
