Swedish Erotica

Originally titled SWEDISH BEAUTY, SWEDISH EROTICA date back to the mid 80s, but was to be plagued by ever shifting line-up problems. The first roster of this Glam outfit comprised of guitarist Magnus Axx, bassist Ulf Sandin, former TNT vocalist Dag Ingebrektsen, ex-MADISON guitarist Dan Stomberg and drummer Magnus Nybratt. This incarnation recorded one track for a Norwegian Rock compilation album before Nybratt and Stomberg left. Replacements were found in Anders Allhage, known more commonly as Andy LaRoche and presently a member of KING DIAMOND, and Jamie Borger.

SWEDISH BEAUTY folded during 1988, but were resurrected as SWEDISH EROTICA shortly after by Axx and guitarist Morgan Jensen. The band's first line-up included ex-MADISON vocalist Goran Edman, but he was soon to leave to join the YNGWIE MALMSTEEN band and in came former CAPRICORN frontman Tony Niva, who appeared on the first 1989 single 'Down Town'.

For the debut album, 'Swedish Erotica' also issued in 1989, the band's line-up consisted of vocalist Mats Lev?n, Axx and Jensen on guitars, Jonas Tangstr?m on bass and ex-D.D. BAND drummer Bjarne Olsson. Lev?n was to leave in 1990, journeying on to TREAT and ABSTRAKT ALGEBRA and subsequently work with YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, TALISMAN and SOUTHPAW Later line-ups of the band included guitarist Ken Sandin, who left to join ALIEN and DA VINCI, and vocalist Anders M?ller.

Olsson toured as live drummer for SHOTGUN MESSIAH whilst recordings for the 1995 album 'Blind Man's Justice' were taking place, so Jamie Borger took over the drum stool once more. However, upon the release of the second album M?ller's other act, the high profile comedy Metal band BLACK INGVARS, suddenly scored a hit record resulting in a national tour, effectively putting SWEDISH EROTICA on ice.

In early 2006 it was learned that Mats Lev?n was working up a band project with an esteemed roster of players dubbed FATAL FORCE. This unit comprised Danish guitarist TORBEN ENEVOLDSEN and the XSAVIOR, MIND'S EYE, SPEEDY GONZALES, FARO and PHILIP BARDOWELL credited drummer Daniel Flores. A self-titled, Tommy Hansen produced debut album emerged in April via MTM Music.
