There are at least three artists with this name: 1. Pond is an Australian outfit led by two core members, Jay Watson and Nick Allbrook, of Tame Impala. Pond is free spirited Psychedelic Garage-Glam of the highest order from some very young, very talented 'Perth-onalities'. It all presents an opportunity for the members to change instruments more freely live experiment with recording. Pond is a hard band to pin down, not that you'll want to.

The West Oz trio are shaping up as yet another great unwashed export from the west, with a cavalier attitude and a sound that when unleashed live, is unhinged and on fire, mixing glam-era Bowie with Blue Cheer while bordering on the Zappa-esque at times. Frond is laden with hand-claps, fuzzy guitars, rich piano and catchy chorus lyrics, with elements of Folk, Epic Psych, Glam and Dance.
2. POND (in all capitals) was a band from Portland, Oregon. They formed in 1991 and broke up in 1998. They were signed to Sub Pop Records (first two albums) and the Work Records sub-label of Sony Records (last album).
The band, unlike their contemporaries, leaned on a more progressive side of music. Many saw them as ?dark and odd? due to Pond's experimental-progressive musical practices, such as an electric bass being played like a lead guitar, and Pond's sometimes dark, haunting, gloomy music.
3. Pond (Or P.O.N.D.) - Electronic project, founded in 1977/78 by Wolfgang (Paule) Fuchs (dr) and Manfred Henning (keyb) in Berlin, Germany.
