AmiramInc performed for the first time on January 1st 2005, playing live in one of Tel Aviv's many rock clubs. After 3 years of playing solo acoustic gigs in various clubs in France, Scandinavia and England Israeli/Norwegian Amiram Eini decided to go back to his roots. Joining forces with bass player Shay Saadon, and drummer Alon Tavory, they started up the band in Israel looking to add some Middle Eastern spices to the musical soundscape.
Having recorded the single "Alright" in Norway that previous year with Producer Leif Johansen (A-ha), they released the video and single in 2005 to Israeli radio, and toured around Israel as a trio followed by a faithful following. Emily Bennet (violin) and Asaf Barak (guitar) soon joined the group. Having caught the ear of Gil Smetana one of Israels foremost producers, the band went into the studio to record their album and came out a few months later. "Little Defects" was born.
Recorded in Tel Aviv and mixed in Norway the record represents the differences in style and culture. A solid rock bass with a softer singer songwriter feel re-creating their live sensation. Amiram's original writing and voice along with Emily's violin and backing vocals gives the sensation of familiarity but a completely new sound.
