Need More Sources

Having already spent some time playing alongside The Boats, new Moteer signing Chris Stewart comes well-versed in the sort of intimate electronic manoeuvres that have shaped the label's reputation. "Shed", his first solo album, is a multi-instrumental collage where acoustic sound sources are fused with subtle electronic treatments, resulting in the kind of magical sounds you'd hear from Matt Elliott, Mum, or early Kim Hiorthoy.

Stewart draws sounds from a well of modern classical influence, but handles that template with the kind of innovative irreverence that made works by Max Richter and Helios sound so vibrant.
