The sound of Jar is best described as offbeat music with plenty of heart and soul. Cracking offbeats, stomach-filling bass lines and whirling drum patterns, combined with a very groovy Hammond organ and catchy hook lines. The lyrics are switching between social criticism and every days joys and sorrows.
Jar's music has - almost like the musical history of Jamaica ? over time developped from Ska to Reggae. Other influences like Funk, Blues or Punk are used to add to the mix, creating a very own interpretation of the already varied genre. But always with one major focus: the Reggae! To the band it's a mission to play it as clean and sound as possible.
