Bio / Background
18 WHEELER is a Gear-Jammin' rockabilly Trio from Denver CO. The Band infuses 50's era roots rock with influences from The Cramps, The Beat Farmers, KISS, and others. Their High energy live set is a shot of danger shakin' not stirred-with 100% Balls out fun! The band features Bobby "Rockinbones" Smith on Guitar/Vocals (formerly from Jumpin Jimes), The Band was founded Nov of 2000 by Bobby Smith, being tired of playing swing Bobby wanted to get back to his roots (rockabilly) so he called on Philippe and Gator which are 2 of the best in the LA scene and recorded these songs at Philippe's studio in Los Angeles California. All songs written by Bobby Smith except, C'mon Everybody, Somethin' Else, and Leave my kitten alone. Chris Lawrence (of Mike Ness) played the pedal steel parts on "The Pickin' Shack"
In September 2001 Bobby relocated to Longmont Colorado.
