Bio / Background
They’re hard rock with a hint of progressive melodies splashed with a smidge of metal. No matter where this band resides in the world of rock, 12TONE has at least one or two tracks that are sure to rock your donkey. Formed in 2001, 12TONE has been building their following through gigging and exposure on the internet. Their debut album, Vertigo, was released in 2003 and since then has been well received by fans and critics alike. This album is a reflection of what transpires when a group of musicians meld the influences of Tool, The Mars Volta, Led Zeppelin, Tower of Power, Gentle Giant, Clutch, and Spyro Gyra into something fresh and out of the ordinary.
12TONE's lyrics, primarily appear angry and serious in tone, with loads of wordplay mixed in. Each title track conveys an underlying story or some aspect of surreal imagery.
